You probably already know that confidence is one of the most important qualities to be stylish.

And that’s true for several reasons!

If you have confidence in yourself, you naturally do certain stuff that improves your image and style, like:

  • You only wear an outfit if you feel really good in it.
  • Even if you wear something different (and not even trendy), if you wear it with confidence because you’re certain you like it and it looks good on you, you look cute.
  • You’ll have more courage to take risks and experiment new things (including outfits, makeup, hairstyles, etc.) and eventually find out what looks better on you.
  • You’re able to know yourself better and you pay attention to your intuition, which makes you personalize your style more and more, taking into consideration what you love.
  • Confidence gives you good posture which not only makes you feel better but also look cuter and more interesting.

How can you improve your confidence?

Here are 3 ways:

1. Improve your self-esteem

If you don’t like yourself, it’ll be very hard to feel confident. A great way to improve your self-esteem is to start listening more to your intuition, understand what you really want in your life and act to start doing that. You can make small or big changes. For example: you always wanted to learn how to surf? That’s easy, just find a place where they teach it and enrol to learn. You don’t like leaving in the middle of a big, messy city? This one is more difficult but it isn’t impossible – sell your house and then buy another one in a quite place.

When you start building the life you really want for you, you feel happy and improve your self-esteem and confidence, because you show yourself that you respect and value what’s important to you. If you do that, slowly everything will improve in your life. Including your image and style, because, if you read this blog, it’s obvious that is one thing you like and interests you :)

2. Create habits

This may seem less obvious but doing some things always the same way, every day, helps you be more confident. They can be simple and/or healthy habits like exercising every day, taking time every morning to get ready calmly, wearing some makeup, have lunch always at the same time, etc.

Habits give you stability, security and they also give you the confidence of knowing that you can count on yourself and your habits in any situation.

3. Do difficult tasks (but not too difficult)

Choose tasks or projects what are difficult but that you know you can do. Then evolve from there, until you can accomplish harder things. Don’t start by doing things that you think are very hard, because you may lose your enthusiasm and give up, which will worsen your confidence. But if you try to reach goals that are a bit difficult and you’re successful, you’ll feel more and more confident (and happy, by the way).

One of these tasks can be to create a new habit which is easy to acquire, like for example, eating a piece of fruit or fruit juice every day (I usually drink one with one cucumber, one apple and ginger). Do it for at least 21 days (minimum time required to create a habit) or 2 months or more (ideal time for creating a habit).
