Do you want a trendy, stylish combo to wear in the mid-season?
Then try wearing a pleated skirt with a bomber.
It looks different because the pleated skirt is a very feminine chic piece and the bomber is masculine and more casual.
And then you can wear the skirt and the bomber with lots of other pieces. Although they’re trendy pieces, they also don’t go out of fashion because they’re basics (especially if you buy neutral tones).

- The skirt is more chic, the bomber more casual, so you already have the casual-chic style. You can wear it with a tee, blouse or sweater/sweatshirt.
- If it’s a midi skirt (it ends at the middle of the leg), take care of your vertical proportion (if you don’t know what’s the vertical proportion, learn more here): wear high-heels and/or a tucked-in top, so you don’t lose proportion.
- You can wear a longer or shorter bomber jacket, it looks great either way. Also, the sweater can be longer than the bomber, no problem. Just be careful so you don’t look very big/like a rectangle, because the skirt already has a bit of volume.
Where to Wear the Pleated Skirt + Bomber?
This is a casual chic combination so you can wear it everywhere, except for a very formal event.
Work: Avoid metallic skirts because they’re too much. Also go for an understated bombers.
Weekend: Go wild and wear everything you want :)
Event: Wear a metallic skirt (if you have one): you get a trendier and more different look.
