I’ve been here, exiled in a family house, away from everything and everyone and with a so so internet connection ;)
I like to come here to rest, but lately, I’m not resting a lot. I’ve been doing some mindset and journaling courses to help me define and reach goals. Basically, mindset is your way of thinking, and your way of thinking determines your life.
I’m noticing more and more the way I think and how it changes everything. You can see a situation in lots of different ways, even by you. Your thoughts really create your life.
So I wanted to tell you about one important thing about your style which is what you think.
For example:
I thought that accessories were impossible to figure out. So it seemed I always bought the wrong ones and when I wore them with something, I didn’t like the effect. I bought some stuff that I see in photos and think: “What was I thinking?” ;) I was thinking: “I can’t figure this out” and that’s what I created.
In relation to my hair, I hated it, because it had too much volume, frizz, I never knew what to do about it. Until I started to get compliments about my hair, I learned ways to take care of it to always look good, hairstyles, etc. and now I love my hair.
In relation to my shoulders, in the 80’s we wore shoulder pads and I also wanted to wear them but they looked really bad on me because my shoulders don’t need pads ;) I though that I my shoulders were too broad, why couldn’t I have small shoulders like some of my friends? Until one friend told me: “I wish I had your shoulders, you don’t need shoulder pads” (and told me to take them off from the clothes I had ;)). Then I realized that large shoulders are good and now I love my shoulders, but for a long time I wanted just the opposite.
So even what other people envied about me, I saw has a defect. Instead of enjoying my hair volume, it annoyed me. In time, and as I learned to like me more, I also started to see my qualities.
When you don’t value yourself and you don’t see your qualities, when you put yourself down and feel you’re not enough, you’ll never feel you look really good. Because feeling that way starts inside yourself.
Then, of course, it’s not only that.
There is a part of having style that is about learning. The problem is that when you’re stuck in the thought: “I don’t understand this”, you don’t change and stay the same. But if you think: “I can’t figure out this accessorizing but I can and I will learn how to do it”, you start acting and making it happen.
I’m talking about accessories because I decided to do a style training just about accessories! I have lots of clients that ask me about accessories, how to wear, combine, etc.
This training is 7 days only with tips and exercises about wearing accessories to create amazing outfits. And making your style more personalized.
I’ll show you examples of what to do, and what not to do. How to know if a piece is really worth the money, how to combine different accessories, etc.
We start on August 14yh and during the next two days, you have an early bird price.
You can see more about the “How to Accessorize Well” training here.
Love,
