Today I want to tell you about having all the time in the world.

For a long time, I hated every household chore – doing the dishes was the one I hated the most, closely followed by all others like:

  • cooking food
  • doing the laundry
  • ironing – this one I still refuse to do ;)
  • etc.

And for a long time I thought it was because they’re were boring and repetitive. BORING. And I don’t like anything boring ;)

But lately, I’m starting to enjoy more these tasks… at least some of them.

I thought about it and I realized it’s because I stopped having so much urgency about time.

Because for a lot of time I felt I didn’t have enough time… lol

Some phrases I kept saying:

  • I don’t have time for that
  • There’s never enough time
  • Time flies
  • Etc.

And as “there’s never enough time”, I had to make the most of it. And so I didn’t want to “waste time” with “boring tasks that no one cares about” – as I thought about house chores. I had to do important things like working, resting and doing things I liked (only when absolutely necessary because I felt it was a bit of a waste of time), and of course, being with my children, family, and friends.

The problem is that this way of thinking is based upon lack. Instead of being a positive (= abundant) way of thinking, in which there’s time for everything, it’s a negative way (= lack) of thinking, where there’s never enough. And what we focus on expands, so the more I focused on not having enough time, the less time I seemed to have.

Now it seems obvious but at the time I didn’t notice it at all.

Lately, I don’t feel this kind of lack anymore.

Now I think I have time for everything (or at least I think it more times).

And as I feel that I have enough time for everything. That there’s no lack of time. I do what I want to do, without thinking if I’m wasting time or not.

That means that if I see dirty dishes in the sink and I feel like doing them, to keep the kitchen and the house clean, that’s what I do. And instead of thinking, “What a waste of time,” I notice things I never noticed before: how good it feels to touch the water, washing everything and putting everything neatly to dry. Clean and beautiful again (ok, I confess I’m a bit obsessed with cleaning lol).

But it’s interesting to see how I changed my way of doing things naturally and how I never thought of this association before. And also how I saw house things as “things that don’t matter”, even though they’re important to me (again because I like everything clean).

How To Have More Time For Your Image & Style

In relation to your image and style, the idea of ​​lack of time may also stop you from investing more time on them.

Maybe you think you don’t have time to put on some make-up in the morning, or to choose an outfit calmly, the day before.

What can change if you start thinking you do have time for everything? If you think you can’t afford to think you don’t have the time, instead of thinking you can’t afford to do something extra for your image?
