My family keeps asking me to share my healthy recipes on my blog, so I’ve decided to start doing it ;)
I only like to do recipes that are:
- Easy (usually max 5 ingredientes ;))
- Not fattening (of course ;))
Lately I’ve been craving lattes but I don’t want to drink any exciting stuff like coffee or matcha, so I’ve been drinking a golden latte.
You probably already heard about it, I started doing my own version which is a bit mixed with the Chai Tea recipe.
I bought all the ingredients to do the tea without the black tea, and then I used them in the golden latte ;)
This latte is really healthy because of all the ingredients, especially the curcum and ginger. You can see the advantages on Google.
How to Do the Golden Latte
For 2 cups:
- 2 cups of rice milk
- 6 cardamom seeds
- 10 clove pieces
- A bit of ginger (size of a thumb), thinly sliced so it gives more taste
- 2 tea spoons of curcum
Optional: 3 black pepper balls
Put everything (except the cinnamon) in a pan and let it simmer for a bit. Turn off the heat and let it stay covered for 5 to 10 minutes, to soak in the flavours. Serve and use the cinnamon on top.
To make the foam (optional):
To make the foam, you can use a small machine that does that, or use a mixer. I use a small machine I bought at Ikea. Here’s the pick:
To sweeten (optional):
- 1 teaspoon of dates paste.
To do the dates paste:
Add warm water to dates, until the water covers them. Let it soak for 10 minutes and then put everything in a blender until it makes a smooth paste. You can use it to sweeten a lot of things!
You can also use other vegetable milks. Coconut tastes great.
