Today I was thinking about that phrase: God writes straight by croocked lines.

When I was choosing my career, I decided to be an architect. And it really is easy for me. I’ve remodeled houses and I know I’m good at it and I love it.

But it wasn’t meant to be, at least at the time. I went on to be a computer engineer, as my father wanted. And as I thought it was good for me too, in a way. I quickly realized it wasn’t that good, but I also decided to do the course till the end. I didn’t want to be a quitter. I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t bail on all the courses like I saw some people do. And I thought about doing architecture later.

I worked at the corporate world but went on to stay home with my 3 kids. When my youngest was 3 years old, I had an opportunity to create an image consulting company with 3 friends. As I loved fashion, I decided to enter too.

They were great and also challenging times. Learned a lot. Still do ;). But then I decided to continue alone with my own company. I had started a blog because there was so much to share and I always loved to write. Then I created a new blog for my new online business.

What do I need to do in this business? I felt that it was great for me because I can write, I can teach, I can coach and do self-growth, which I love to do. The technology is easy for me. So what else can be better? I’m location independent, I am my own boss, I make my own schedule.

These 3 last things create as many challenges as freedom, at least in the beginning ;) But I’m creating my own thing.

Although I always had this doubt: should I have been an architect? Is this the right thing for me?

The other day, I did the Myers-Briggs personality test and I got INFP which stands for Introversion, iNtuition, Feeling, Perception.

And the careers that are good for that personality type include: writer, coach, teacher, fashion designer.

How interesting is that?

Although I was inclined to go to architecture, I didn’t do it. Although I decided to be a computer engineer, I stopped after some years.

And then opportunites kept appearing and guiding me: be an image consultant, create an online business, write, teach and be a coach. Invest in self-growth. All things I love.

so I was thinking about this today. How interesting it is that while I kept thinking that I might be on the wrong path, I was actually on the right one.

That all the things that were wrong for me, failed to go through.

That what was meant for me, quickly found me!

So what about you?

Are you doing what’s right for you?

Did you follow your intuition, what life is showing and telling you?

Are you exactly where you should be, right now?

Lots of love,
