Today I was writing this in my journal. Because that’s something I want to do.
What about you? Are you taking excellent care of yourself?
I realized while journaling that I need to take into account my limitations and what I know about myself, when creating my ideal life and business.
For example, when I was working on my IT corporate job, I always wanted to end my work by 6pm. I knew that if I stayed after that, I’d be exhausted.
So I always left at 6pm and arrived home at 6:30pm and after that, I wouldn’t do anything else. Work related that is ;)
But with my business, I noticed that my boundaries are much more blurry… what is work anyway? Is learning work? If I also like to do it, what should I call it?
But on the other hand, since I don’t have a set amount of time to rest, I started feeling tired.
I’ve been feeling tired lately and although some of it may be psychological, I also know that I’ve been overworking.
This weekend I read that we need to have 3 hours straight of rest or recharge time. First I thought: but how’s that possible? How can you take that time during the week?
Today I thought that I can take that time at the end of the day. I can stop working, or learning, or doing anything that isn’t whatever I feel like doing, from 7pm to 10pm. Which is the hour that I usually go to bed.
That’s my new goal.
And my new goal is also to know that I have a limited energy. And that I need to take care of it. To take excellent care of me. And that way I’ll be creating now the life I want. The business I want.
Because we can’t postpone it and say: I’ll work less when I have more help. Or I’ll create my ideal business when I can. Because then we’re not being the person who has the successful life.
The person who has the successful life doesn’t overwork. She knows that she has to save her own energy and recharge, so she can be at her best. And so she can live the life she wants.
She believes that she can have it all. And that includes having the time she wants and needs, to rest and have fun.
So how can you take excellent care of you?
Start by knowing yourself, knowing what you want and need, and creating that in your life right now.
What do you need?
If you were really honest, what would you say you need and want right now?
What do you need to change in your life, to have what you need and want now?
Answer one or all of these questions and you can find out how to take excellent care of you.
And then you just need to take action on it because remember, without action, there’s no change. Nothing happens!
